What is a 3D video?
Real depth, no glasses
A normal video is flat: everything sits on the same plane. Deep Photo uses an AI depth model to work out how far away every pixel is in every frame, a depth map. With it, the video is rebuilt as a 3D surface, so when the view moves, near things shift more than far ones. That is the parallax you see when you look out of a moving car, and it is what makes the picture feel three-dimensional.
Depth from a single camera usually flickers from frame to frame. Deep Photo aligns the depth of each frame with the ones around it and smooths it over time, so people and objects keep their shape while they move.

How long can my video be?+
Up to 15 seconds are converted. If your clip is longer, the first 15 seconds are used. On phones and computers without graphics acceleration it is 6 seconds, because converting takes much longer there.
